MIRROR MIRROR

2019

A dreamer holds a scrying mirror, navigates the room through its reflection, it sings back to her what she sings first, like an echo, maybe a reverberation.

Navigating a space with a reflection, the space but not the space. Two mirrors held up against each other investigate an infinite void. If you make eye contact with the figures in the mirrors multiplied, they become further and further away from your own. Hyper identification with your figure in a mirror is the opposite, a delusion of the self for something not quite that. A para-realm is activated, and it is deep, infinite, a whole space that shimmies beside our own.
